The history of the Tamma family begins in the very first years of the 1800's when Mrs. Serafina used to "industrially" produce pasta in a small workshop in Bari.
Francesco "Ciccio" Tamma soon became the point of reference in the region for the milling of durum wheat and trading of flours.
Raffaele Tamma then bought a mill in Cerignola, and established the pasta factory where Tamma pasta has been produced since 1933.
The old factory in Cerignola has very recently been replaced in Foggia with the creation of one of the most advanced pasta factories in the world. |
